Your dog’s safety, well-being and happiness are top priorities. We spare no expense to ensure our facility, procedures and staff exceed industry standards by providing the best experience for you and your dog.
Our Facility
Ruff Housing is licensed by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture. Our facilities are state-of-the-art, including special rubber flooring in playrooms and K9 Grass, artificial grass designed specially for dogs, in all outdoor play yards.
Our Staff
All staff members are certified in Pet First Aid by the American Red Cross, and also complete a rigorous Ruff Housing training program in which all employees participate in on the job training and pass tests on educational manuals before becoming certified to work in our playrooms. We also have specialized certification programs for our lodging and customer service specialists.
Owners
Ruff Housing is owned by Kim and Roger Vaughn. A Wake Forest graduate, Roger is also the former President of Aon Consulting. Kim is a UNC Chapel Hill alum and former Senior Vice President at BB&T. Both are happy they traded the corporate world for the dog world.
